Hello and welcome to everyone whose whole personality has been Heated Rivalry since November 28, which is when the Canadian hockey romance series first dropped on HBO Max. Today we’re here to discuss the love life of François Arnaud, who plays New York Admirals captain Scott Hunter.
On the show, Scott may be in a relationship with juice bar barista Kip Grady (played by Robbie G.K.)...but if you’re wondering who the Canadian actor is romancing IRL, I’ve got answers! Oh, and side note: Sorry to those who got excited to see him step out with his Heated Rivalry costar Connor Storrie, because it seems the two are just friends.

François came out as bisexual in 2020
Back in September 2020, François (who rose to fame as Cesare Borgia on the Showtime drama The Borgias) took to his Instagram Stories to come out in honor of Bi Visibility Day.

“Last week, I was chatting with work friends, and as I brought up a trip I’d taken with an ex-girlfriend, I asked myself—for the ten-thousandth time—how to tell such a story without making it seem like that was the whole story of me,” he started his message, per People. He went on to explain how “many bisexual guys feel the same way” and end up “letting other people’s assumptions of straightness stand uncorrected.”
He concluded his message with, “Silence has the perverse effect of perpetuating those stereotypes, making bi guys invisible, and leading people to doubt that we even exist. No wonder it’s still a chore to acknowledge bisexuality without getting into lengthy explanations. So yes, labels are frustrating and words, imperfect. But I've always considered myself bisexual. Not confused or trying to look edgy. Not disloyal. Not ashamed. Not invisible.”
He was most recently linked to actor Marc Bendavid
It’s unclear which “ex-girlfriend” François was alluding to in his Instagram Story, but he has been romantically linked to a few women over the years, including his Borgias costar Holliday Grainger, Orphan Black star Evelyne Brochu, and Wayward’s Sarah Gadon.
Most recently, François dated Dark Matter star Marc Bendavid. The two first got together in May 2022, and the following year, they celebrated their one-year anniversary.
It’s unclear whether they’re still an item, but considering François has since deleted any pics with Marc from his own Instagram, chances are he’s either (a) no longer dating Marc or (b) trying to keep his relationship status on the down-low.
